“As well as my children attending Garden House nursery, I am a reception teacher in a local primary school. Every year we get a couple of children who come to us from Garden House. We find that they have a very good level of independence in terms of organising themselves, putting their coats on, going to the toilet, managing meal times, etc. They are confident in accessing the continuous provision in the classroom and choosing their own learning and challenging themselves through their play. We have been impressed with their school readiness, both socially and emotionally. They have come to school with strong phonological awareness and demonstrate a positive and playful attitude towards their mathematics learning.
